July 25-27 S.E. Iowa Powerhouse River Bash
Keokuk Iowa riverfront at the Hubinger Landing R/v Park
    CAMPING-FISHING-FISH FRY-SWAP MEET BONFIRE & MUSIC
You can reserve a R/V space with hook ups for $16.00 for non seniors $14.00 for seniors
Tent space is avaliable but camping is primitive. For reservations you can call
    319-524-3553
or if you are not wishing to camp there is several area hotels availiable and I would recomend reserving early because the municipal airport is having a ww2 fly in the 24-26
Any questions about the area you can goto Keokuk Iowa.com or you can contact me or Sporticus1
If you are coming from out of state and want a day pass fishing licence they are sold for $8.00 at the Local Farm & Home or Wal-Mart
Saturday is gonna be a busy funfilled day full of fellowship,We are giong to have a bonfire/music and fish fry and a weigh in of the biggest fish caught earning you the bragging rights for a year among the BOC members that attend.
Be prepared even if you dont bring your boat these waters have big fish so it could be interesting......FROM BANK OR BOAT!
boat access is 3/4 block from the r/v park
We hope anyone that can attend or maiden gathering come and make it one to rember and we would like to thank everyone that has showed intrest........Can't wait to meet you on the river!

I start my vacation at that time so I might be able to get up there. Would a 1648 Alweld be ok for the water up there?

I run a 1975 15 ft.lowe with a 15 hp Johnson Seahorse and it does fine.Ofcourse you have conditions you just dont mess with ....I see no reason why you cant.....you just gotta be smart enough to use yer head out there.ANYWHERE-I grew up on this river so I am not as edgy about it as some-I get more nervous on the small rivers I dont know well.

Well things are starting to come together. Me and Kenny have been doing some of the finalization stuff, and from the responses so far it's looking as if it might be a good time for everyone. The City Council, tourism, local businesses, and local people all seem to be interested. We have been promoting the fact that the BOC is a family orientated site, and that we like that main aspect of it. We invite all to come to the site and check it out for themselves. Hope to meet all of our old friends and also meet lots of new ones. We have made a poster that as soon as Kenny gets off of his duff and get it posted everyone can see it. Well today is such a nice day we are going fishing. Hope everyone is having a great day.
    Later Andy

Well bad news is I didn't get to go out on the River today, the wind is blowing really hard, and the whitecaps are large. The good news is I went thru all of my fishing tackle and either threw some out or R&R ed it. I've got all of the batteries on charge, and the boat is cleaned out and vacuumed. Almost looks to clean to use. " NOT" Anyway I'm ready for some decent weather, and some good fishing. Later Andy

Why aren't you out fishing on a nice day like this? You should be out there getting that new reel that you bought broken in. Sounds like you bought you a reel winch! Now,just don't drop it in the drink!
