This is a chocolate lover's dream cake. It turns out really moist, so don't over bake.

    1 stick butter
    1 cup oil
    4 tablespoons of cocoa
    1 cup water
    2 cups sugar
    2 cups flour
    1/2 cup buttermilk
    2 slightly beaten eggs
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon vanilla

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Do not overbake.

    Icing

    4 tablespoons cocoa
    1 stick butter
    1/4 cup buttermilk
    1 box powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla

Pour over cake while it is warm. Enjoy.

    Cheryl --

That sounds like a great recipe. Could you please specify pan size and whether one should grease and flour? Thanks.

    Rich,

Lightly grease and flour a 9X13" pan.

    Thanks for asking.

Thanks Cheryl. I kinda figured it would be a 9x13".

In fact, I bought the ingredients I didn't have on hand when I went to the store earlier.

So much for low-fat/calorie stuff. :smile2:

I did buy margarine instead of butter. Isn't my norm as far as desserts go, but the PRICES!

It's really sad that we can't be somewhat healthy without having to pay an arm and a leg.

NM, even the unhealthy stuff is high-priced these days.
