Anyone ever have this done to their boat? We have a newer 16' Crestliner Jon Boat with a tiller steer and I hate it! Anyone know about how much it would be to have a console and a steering wheel to be added? Thanks!

Welcome to the BOC from sunny South Carolina! I prefer the tiller steer as it frees up so much extra room. Steering consoles take up a ton of space, and on a 16 foot boat, space is a premium. That said, if you want to add the console, it can be done easily enough. You'd have to buy the console, steering cables, and steering wheel.

And the engine controls, cable, and wiring harness. This ain't gonna be cheap. Unless you have a real love affair with the boat, it may be time to change horses.

And the engine has got to be able to adapt to the all the controls, most likely not

    And welcome the the BOC

Welcome to the BOC Tyler. The guys are right. You may want to rethink this. 1st step would be finding out if your current motor can equip the controls. Had a friend years ago that built a console for his flatbottom, worked out for him. Best of luck to you.
