I have a couple of these. Model 100. One of them is super old. The other is a 40th anniversary edition. I took them apart, and gave them a good cleaning and greasing. I've never used either one, and was wondering if others have these reels. If so, do you actually use them? Are they just good for panfish? I kinda like the option of either having them be top or bottom retrieve. Think I might actually use 'em.

Matt I had a couple of these when I was in my teens. Nice reels! I only ever caught panfish, bass, channel cats, and bullheads with them. Nothing of any good size. Id probably still have them today but a flood on the Potomac river decided it needed the shed they were in.

I used to have a couple of those little reels. They were great for bluegills
and crappie. They are a little light for bass and cats. Johnson made the
citation and saber for bigger fishing.

I have had several of those reels and they are great for smaller fish like gills and crappie.

I got one somewhere it just sits around. Someday I'll clean it up and use it.
