Hey gang... don't know if y'all have ever seen this you tube video... One of my students at school mentioned it to me years back, and it reminds me of the action down on the Colorado River... I mean that it looks like the same area.... not that I've hooked onto one this size.. but when you loose one at times... you think that it is a "monster" that was on.... thought that some of the "new boys" might want to see it.... It's got good thriller music and all..... and... its down right inspirational.... and then the dude does the right thing and does the "CPR" check it out... easy to remember.... You tube... "monster catfish"

Thanks Ray. Nice cat. I think that will definitely get us fired up. For the slough and the Colorado River. There should be few nice stripers roamin the area Oct 2nd too. Next year will go after that big flat one more time. I love fishin, but that flathead fishin is something else. John would love it down there, especially the Palo Verde area.

Yea Sean.... like the striper that I caught while trolling on Mendota.... Were you with me?..... I was trolling down the middle of the River "so to speek" as it is listed on the GPS, but is off somewhat.... well anyway, I had out two poles flat to the water.... I had on 4lb line and double swivels in front of a deep diving jointed (and I might add ... loaded) shad rap..... at first someone said that I caught the bottom... as the line kept running out..... well, wihen I lifted the rod off the shallow rod holder.... It had some wight to it as I set the hook for the first time.... and then the "give and take" continued... I got the net from its hidding place, and I forget who it was that netted it.....

Anyway... this is a good video... keeps ya on your toes......... thinking big fish...

That water above the bridges my friends just need to get under the low bridge....... Plumbertom1 has got the best way of doing it.... nice and stelth like.... Maybe RRSsmith will take his boat.....

Some good water under the RR bridge and up 4-1/2 miles....I even found a private floating pier up there.... looks illegal... but its not my land... guess someone could put in there own pier...
