    James River Aug 19 - 20th

Fishing was decent. Weather started out bad and we lost a couple hours of fishing due to it but we still very good.

    We were fishing with Chris Eberwein, I got a 55pound (PB), 44pound, 36 pounder. Plus I caugh a 49" 17 pound gar....HUGE! My buddy caught an 18, 20, 28, 29 pound blues.

My 2nd time to the James since the spawn ended and we are heading back down in November again. If you never tried it, you dont know what your missing.

As somebody told me that. I'm sure this fall you'll catch a monster.

Be patient, I felt the same way before I caught my first couple. It took me from May until the last week in July to catch my first fish bigger than 15lbs. I've only caught 3 since. Its supposed to be at its best from Oct-Mar I hear. But I didnt have the knowledge just starting off either, or bait or equipment.

Great job! Eberwein can put you on some fish.

I guess you're another casualty of the James.....gotta keep coming back.
