James River info needed

    was wondering if anyone had some info on fishing the james.
    Will be moving out towards springfield area in july and I know nothing about the areas fishing.
    Any info will help.

    Welcome to Missouri Russ. I didnt even know we had a James River here in Mo. But we got members all over the state and i am sure u will get some info on that and any other questions u might have.

    Very busy place, but you can catch some fish there. It will be really full soon as the snaging season starts the 15th I think. I fish there very little due to the boat traffic, and water beaters (bass guys). Welcome to Missouri, your gonna love it! Also welcome the the best Catfihing site on the web!!

    Thanks for the info Lyle,dont know about "snagin season" never heard of it.Got any good places around spring field to recommend:smile2:

    Lake Springfield, Mcdaniels Lake, but I would go to Pomme, or Truman, Stockton is still really low last time I heard.
