always heard the James in sodak is pretty good for flathead and channel cat, wandering if i made a trip up their is their somewhere to put a boat in? is it even deep enough? i'm from nebraska and fish the mo river exclusively but would not mind trying a non-channelized river for once.

yhea jim river is great catfishing and most parts you can but a jonboat or a small v-hull in theres a lot of places that you can put in too. in the south part of the river there is flats above 25 punds-record is 63. you should try it.

I posted another topic to this forum about fishing the James. I would appreciate any information you could provide.
