Did some fishing on the upper Jacksfork this weekend. Slayed the goggleyes and smallmouth. Cant wait till smallie season opens. Had lots of action off yellow colored pumkinseed salamanders. Water is super clear and Crawdads r out.
    P.S. Keep our waters clean:)

Thats great. Caught a monster smallmouth this weekend , a new personal best. CPR and kept targeting my catfish and gar.. I put out a trotline this weekend on the river for the first time.. Hooked 3 snapping turtles. After doing some reading and talking with folks turtle is now on the menu.

I've never caught a channel cat out of the Jacks Fork, they must be coming out of stocked ponds when they overflow. Have caught some nice bullheads on setlines, coming out of the clear water, they taste good. Jacks Fork turtle does taste good indeed. If you want to have some fun, get into the gar with a flyrod.:smile2:
