I am interested in getting a motorized j.p. so I can adjust my motor height on the water for varying situations. I'll be hanging a Yamaha 150 on it.Can someone point me to a good brand or at least some choices?

Buy the latest edition of Trailer Boats magazine. There are several ads for Jack Plates and all of them are reputable.Bobs Machine Shop in Florida makes a good one ,but the best are expensive.I would make sure my boat would support a JP as they do add stress to the transom and some setback of the engine which can change your performance dramatically and not always for the better.Call the shop and discuss your boat and what you expect from and want the plate to doBEFORE you buy one.:smile2:

Jim- I have had a manual j.p. on my boat since I built it. But thanks for the concern!

Bob's machine shop does excellent work, and builds good products.
