Welcome to the BOC David! Haven't been on the Mo. River much this summer, but typically, the scour hole below the wing dams is a good place to start your search. Try right in the deepest part of the hole, and work your way back to where it starts to get more shallow. Make sure you are fishing in lots of current. That's where we have found most of them.

i just caught a 35 pounder last night on the mo. river, he was caught on the boundary between where the hole ends and slopes up into a massive sand bar. also there was quite a bit of current which is essential for fishin for blues. also are you using the same bait on all four rods? if so try usin a few different types. i usually go with goldeye, quillback, shad, drum, and carp.

Welcome to the BOC from another new member. As for big blues I say wait until the water is colder and find deep water with current and use big bait. And remember when you do catch a big one: let 'em go and let 'em grow!
