Football season is on its way! Training Camps are starting up, so...what big acquisitions or losses has your team made this year? The Broncos are looking great...they are number 3 in most power rankings, and even after the loss of Al Wilson are still in the top 5 in LB corp, number 1 in CB tandem with Champ Bailey and Dre Bly, and in the top 5 for secondary overall. D-line was still questionable but Warren is a good player, and we got big guys in Mckinley and Sam Adams, as well as other quick but fairly big DTs in Marcus Thomas who was projected to go in the first round before being kicked off of Florida's team, and former first rounder, Kennedy from the Rams. Dumervil was a "sack specialist" last year at DE and now with Jim Bates new scheme he will get even more playing time, along with Moss and Crowder. They say the Broncos' DEs are too small, but that is just what they said about DPOTY Jason Taylor who excelled in Jim Bates' system.

On Offense we have Javon Walker, a pro-bowl WR along with former pro-bowlers Rod Smith and Brandon Stokely. Brandon Marshall was a late-round pick who came up big last year and is projected to have the number 2 or 3 WR spot, but the competition will be tough. The dark horse is Domenik Hixon, who was a fourth round pick last year but was out on IR last season and is now expected to at the very least be a KR/PR specialist. Not counting the TEs, they are ranked number 8 in receiving corps. We picked up Montrae Holland at RG, and will have Lepsis back at Left Tackle, which will surely push up the Run and passing game. We picked up Daniel Graham, a top 3 blocking TE who is expecting to see more passes thrown his way in Denver, as well as Travis Henry, who has rushed for 1200 yards or more 3 out of his 6 years, and rushed for 1200 last year in a dying Tennessee offense with only starting 13 games. Imagine what he can do in Denver's system! Cutler will be entering his first year as full-time starter, and will have much more confidence having gone through mini-camp and training camp as the number 1 this year....I'm expecting big things....with some huge signings Shanahan has opened up a window of 3-5 years for a championship run....

Other AFC teams? Chargers? New system? New Head coach, new offensive coordinator, new defensive coordinator, lost Donnie Edwards....they'll be tough....we'll split home games with them, but they won't be nearly as strong as last year IMO. They've got all the talent, but can they put it together?

Patriots? Shanahan's Offense owns Belichick's Defense....and Tom Brady is still afraid of Champ Bailey sucking his soul out of him....we've all seen what Bailey has done being lined up against Moss these past few years....We'll see you in the playoffs.

Colts? Defending Champs? Shanahan and Sundquist built this team to stop the Colts with Bly, Bailey, Foxworth, and the new speedy D-line...they've lost some key defensive players, but Dungy seems to find the right players to put into his speedy Tampa 2.....and the Offense looks solid as usual....Ryan, Kevin...we're gunning for you!!

Rumor has it The Jags are interested in Culpep, but Green is definitely the best man for the job. I'd like to see the Phins succeed. I was shocked when they skipped on Brady Quinn, but think they may have made a good choice with who the got in the second round.

To tell you the truth, last year I was hoping the Broncos would draft Maroney, then grab Brady Quinn this year, but I am VERY happy with how things turned out.

edit: A bit off topic...but Tea, it looks like you're losing weight....I guess you were right when you said we'd be seeing less of you. Congrats on the job well done.

Not much positive for the Bills. They keep letting go all their good players. This year it was MaGahee and Clements. It looks worse than last year, but I'll hope for the best. I also like the Steelers. I hope Rothensberger gets his mojo back. With a new coach and all, a lot of eyes will be on him this year. Although he won a SB, this year could make or break his career. I think he'll be alright though.
