who knows what this is , hint , i use it daily
OHHHH I know ..its a p38 a can opener distributed for men in the service
That my man is a P38 and I have used one many times in the jungle. My P38s main job was to open peaches. brings back a lot of memories and most bad.
I have to agree with DJ and Danny, they both beet me to it.
I may only be 38 years young, but my granpa used to use one of these to open up cans of peaches.
There is one on my keyring now. If U have one hang on to it, they are hard to find.
you are all correct ,
i have 2 one iv used for over 17 years its always worked even when the electric was off
when i was 20 years old i spent some time on the road hitch hiking wished i had it then , you ever try opening a can of mixed veges with a rusted nail and a rock , nearly imposible less yer very hungry
they make a P51 also that is larger and supposed to be easier to use.
i am bidding on a lot of 10 p38s i will try and give a few of these away here on the board in some kind of trivia game
Sign me up... there ain't nobody here more trivial than me...
I'm so old, I can laugh, cough, sneeze, fart and pee, all at the same time.
I used to use my dad's all the time when I was in boy scouts. Wish I had one of my own!
A guy once told me the more you use them the sharper they get? True?
Same here, and it's been quite a while since I've even seen one. Would be a good thing to have one around again.
I still carry one. It has been in my pocket since 1965. I will see if I can locate some more of those around here tony and send you one. Give me a few days to round up the old feller that deals in that stuff.
