Definately a blue. Catfish can be identified by either the shape of the anal fin or the shape of their tail. A channel will have a rounded anal fin, whereas the same fin on a blue will be flat (like your avatar) accross the bottom. Both the channel adn blue has a forked tail, but a flathead's tail will not have a fork. Blues and channels seem to be the hardest to distiguish sometimes. The channel has 24-29 rays in the anal fin and the blue has 30-36 rays. To be sure I always count the rays in the anal fin. More than 29 means its a blue. Hope this helps.

The catfish2 im pretty sure is a channel. The catfish 1 with its big head i was thinking white cat. White cat suppose to have big head like the bull head but im not sure. I dont think there any blues in the lake i caught the fish in.

A few ways to distinguis a white cat:

The whites are usually short with large heads (the width of the head is usually longer than the anal fin length). The tail is barely forked and the anal fin only has 22-24 rays.

Not to mention that they are usually white. Some are mistakenly called albino catfish here locally.

The first seems to be a white catfish...hard to tell about the second pic. Count the anal fin rays, its the only sure way to tell.

Looks like a nice big blue to me, what did you catch it on? As to the other two listed in this post they look like Channels to me, I have never even heard of a white cat. Here is a link to the only fresh water species I know of here in the U.S.

Ive never see a white catfish, just heard about them. The first looks as though it could be a male channel that has a swollen head from spawning. But again its hard to tell form a pic, and especially when your never seen a white catfish.

Hmmm you know that website solves the question of Huge headed channels... (the ones with 7lb cat heads on a 2lb cat body)... Guess they were all white cats that we were catching... hmmm wonder how many of those channels i caught were really whites... actually i wonder if my PB was a white rather then a channel... Hmmmmmmmmm
