On my way home tonight, there were cars lined up at the Kroger gas station 8 deep in 12 pump lines and at the BP they were lined up down the highway. Thank God my little '94 Escort gets the mileage that it does. I can get about 33 mpg. It was filled up last weekend and I should be good for at least another week barring any unforeseen trips.

How are things in your area?

No gas shortage around here,I think some in the nearby areas of the last hurricane are just being overly cautious and causing a little buyer panic.

Dosent seem to be here. Gas has droped about 7 to 10 cents a gallon in the last few days. Still way to high:angry::angry:. I wish I could make the profits the oil companys do.

I wonder what our national representatives are doing. When gas sold for about $100.00 a barrel, we were paying around $3.25 to $3.35 a gallon. Its down to about a hundred a barrel again, but the price is still up around 3.60.. I really, really feel there is crooked stuff going on.

Yeah its all a big conspiracy, its amazing how gas stations see that oil is going up and they raise their gas prices before its even pumped out of the ground more less refined into gas. On the other hand it takes months or years for gas to come back down to what it should be. There is so much technology out there that we dont really even know about yet because the government and big oil want to continue milking us for every penny we make and till the last drop of oil is gone!!! Do you really think the government cares what gas costs, most of them own oil wells. Oh yeah by the way, no shortage here!! Just high prices.

Amen, brother. My husband has gone out now to see if he can put some in his truck. It needs some work done on it and that doesn't help with the mileage. We just can't afford to get it done right now. I hope it can hold out until we get our taxes back. Thanks for all the feedback, guys.

Got plenty of gas in my parts of texas. Only problem is, all these sunny days after storm, it cant seem to get delivered fast enough. Several places was out completely. Out or out of R. unleaded
Yesterday , all I could get was super unleaded , bout 4.40 a gal. I did drive a few more miles out of the way and found some R unlead. 3.80 a gal.
I had plenty of miles to travel in a few hours. Gas got me again in my pocket.
I think I had 4-5- days a couple weeks back , of the cheap stuff. little over 3. 30. LOL.

HA HA!! I had a brainstorm this morning. When hubby came back without finding any gas, I remembered that the fuel pump on his front tank was out, and wondered out loud if there might possiblybe any gas left in the front tank? BINGO!!:smile2::tounge_out: His back tank is now completely full thanks to a little patience and a syphon!! So we should be good until the end of the week when they are saying that things should straighten out. PHEW!!:eek:oooh:

Here it depends where you are at. Greensbor is reported to have empty pumps. Just across the county line in Putnam County and Eatonton there is gas and the prices are crawling down.
