Is it weird that...

    i have a 7'6" MH wildcat pole with 15lb test line on it? I got it for long distance casting and for in the creek i fish so i can drift floats better into spots that are hard to get to. Anyone else have a setup thats like this?

    I don't think its wierd I call it adapting to your situation. Its good that you can think outside the box and try different things. Could you imagine if every spot of water fished the same?

    Nothing weird about that at all. A buddy of mine uses a 10' salmon rod and 12# line on his catfish rig. It works for him!

    Thanks guys i guess it isnt weird lol. i fish a dam a lot from the shore and im getting some katbobbers so i figured itd be great to cast it into the dam and let it float down in the spring what do you think?
