I have a few days off and I am wondering if its even worth hooking up the boat and heading to the river, for any fish species not just cats...seems like the fishing doldrums have set in.....blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh:rain:

Get out there and enjoy it man!! I wasn't gonna go this weekend either, but somehow I ended up at the creek this morning at 8am catching bluegill for tonights trip that I wasn't gonna take!!! lol... Bait is caught, boat is hooked up and battery is charging. I'm gonna take a nap sometime today and head out this evening. I'll be home tomorrow (with fish I hope).

The channel cat are on fire in Barkley and Ky. lakes. Most are running between 5 and 10 lbs. We are using our light and ultra-light tackle and having a blast. Drag screaming runs and even getting lines broke every now and then

Thats pretty cool about Barkely...how are you guys targeting those spawning channels? We have a couple of good channel catfish lakes around here that might be worth hitting.
