just curious how many BOC users are using Internet Explorer or Firefox as their browser of preference.

i personally use Firefox and will never touch Internet Explorer again.

I use firefox almost exclusively, because of the control it gives me over popups, cookies, and all the stuff that I.E. automatically downloads. On some rare occasions I might be trying to view something that firefox won't open because of the protections and I will have to open I.E.,but it's not very often.

yeah i agree 100%. i have previewed the beta for Internet Explorer 7 and it's pretty much a Firefox knockoff. but, that is what Microsoft does best.

    Firefox for me!!!

except work pages have to be in IE because the moron who wrote them did so specifically for IE.

FireFox, Though I notice anytime I open a PDF file in it, it races my CPU to 100% and alot of times locks up the browser...

If you have access to a good high speed connection you might not notice a big difference, but I'm stuck with dial-up and the firefox loads my pages about twice as fast. With dialup you notice a big difference and every little bit helps.

    crispy,

do a google search for "Fasterfox". it's a firefox add-on that will load your pages even faster. at least it does for me.

I switched over to Firefox and seem to like it a lot better. It is supposedly better for your computer too and less viruses. The last virus I had wiped out my hard drive so that sounded good to me. No real complaints about it yet
