I just got some Cabela's Quick Draw rod holders with the rectangular flush mount inserts. Should I install those with nuts & bolts, or does screwing it suffice? And yes, I will have to get the hardware...stainless. Thanks guys!

Go with nuts and bolts if you have the room to do it.

i have the same rod holders(6 of em)and i have them screwed in to the aluminum gunnel.i pre drilled the holes and they have yet to come loose or pop off.but if you are able to use nuts and bolts go for it.it could only increase their strength

I used stainless bolts with lock nuts. no problems so far. place them where they are comfortable to reach but don't infere with equipment like a trolling motor. I made that mistake and can't use one of mine with the trolling motor up.

Yep, everyone is right, nuts and bolt.
I started out with those quick draws and like them a lot, however, my tiger rods wouldn't fit in them. Had to replace them with the regular 360HT's.
