Checking to see if anyone knows of any tourneys in Indiana this year. I am not looking for anything on the Ohio as I have no desire to put my 1448 on that river. I would love to see something on the lower White or Wabash rivers. Lots of big fish down here and plenty of launch sites.

Also I have never owned a fish finder before. mainly looking at one for depth and somewhat to find fish. I am considering a PirhanaMax, specifically I think it is the 160 model that is portable. Will this be decent for $129?

    Thanks.

yeah Jason... they have touneys here by me fairly often. I don't get involved though... call Kings bait and tackle for info on this and westside B&T.
Just for small to medium rivers, it's silly to buy an expensive "fish finder"
All you need to know is where the holes are- after that, experience takes over....

Actually Doc, that blue came from Mt. Vernon at the Indiana Catfish association tourney. You can check out their website at www.indianacatfish.com

Bite the bullet and fish some tourneys!!

Thanks for the help guys. Duracats have a few tourneys near me, the Edwardsport one is only 10 miles away and strangely I went up there yesterday fishing. The only thing that is odd is the $135 entry fee, I usually fish solo and that is pretty steep for one person. Will definately be checking some out.
