Here is the recent changes being made by Indiana to Fishing and Hinting regulations.

Note if your from Ft Wayne area and are thinking about doing a little carp fishing. Four lakes are identified as being over populated with larger carp. You can find the lakes mentioned with a little looking. If you enjoy catching these big carp, CPR and take good care of them.

Tom,
I believe that they actually mean that there is a “large population of carp” and not “a population of large carp”.
The bow-killers have pretty much eliminated populations of bigger carp from most if not all public access lakes in our state although a few places still contain some big ones .... or so I’m told .... I’m still looking for them!!
What is very interesting in that paragraph is that they want to protect bass in order for them to control common carp numbers but won’t use the same logic to meaningfully protect the trophy catfish that we have long campaigned for as they are our only natural defense against Asian carp.
Go figure!!!
