With firearms season ready to open this weekend, the huge numbers of sportsmen taking to the field ought to stir up rumors of hog sightings in the state. Has anyone heard anything up to now? I know I wouldn't mind putting some fresh pork in the freezer if the opportunity presented itself...

Rumors of hog sightings? There aren't many wild hogs in Indiana? Just wondering.....hope you brothers get your wish. Fresh pork in the freezer is always good (I suppose, they SAY it's fresh at the grocery store :smile2:).

Actually, there aren't many wild hogs in Indiana....yet. Here in Indiana it is legal to shoot feral hogs year round as long as you have a hunting license, but I would expect with firearms opening this weekend that there will be more sportsmen and women out than usual, so possibly seeing more hogs.
