Just last week I pased my open water dive and now I'm a certified diver..
During my open water swim at a spring fed lake , this giant perch bit the top of my ear! I guess I was swimmin to close to there nest. There were a bunch of holes, like they dug them out! and they are just floatin above them guardin them!

It was so fun! Seen Bass, and Catfish!
lookin forward to viewing more different fish! "I'm swimming with the fish"

Congrats! I never got to get cert but did a shallow water dive once and loved it. Now get yourself a waterproof case for your digital camera or buy an underwater camera and get some cool shots. I had one till and ex got upset (hence now an ex) I used to take alot of neat pics while snorkling.

I have been diving for about 20 years. Take some bread with you and see if you can feed some fish out of your hand. Also if you ever get to the Fl keys spend the time and money to dive there!
Have fun and stay below your med. size bubbles when coming up.

Congratulations, Kiddo! The trick is for you to stay active. Way too many folks let their equipment sit after a few trips. You may want to ask around the BOC for other divers to organize trips with...hint, hint :big_smile:

Congratulations! I've been diving for 45 years and love it. My wife got certified two years a go. I've seen a lot of fantastic stuff under water, including some huge catfish.
