Well, if you got BIG flatheads with the outfit in your avatar, you wouldn't be able to use it for bass fishing again. LOL

I am new to this as well. My first post to date. I love to catfish and I just got a new ambassaduer 6600 c3 to help me with my luck for finding the big ones. I usually end up catching little ones but hope to get a big one here soon. Any one here know how to use the clicker on this reel? Do I leave it in freespool or locked? Oh and anyone ever fished Washington for cats cause I'm having trouble here. Think it's too cold or something. Thanks for reading my post.

Thank's a lot. Seems like there's a ton of nice people here. I am still having trouble trying to figure out how to use this forum. How to post a post without replying to someone elses post.

Kristen...you use freespool with your bait clicker and lock the reel down before setting the hook.:)

That's what I thought. It's the only thing that made sense when I was messing with my reel. If the spool was locked with clicker on I had to decrease the drag too much. Thanks for the advise.

Welcome aboard! One of the hardest parts of catfishing is catching bait, since you are a bass fisherman, you already have that mastered!;)
