I love tomatoes too but they have to be homegrown, that is the only way I like them. My 3 year old daughter will eat them like an apple.
I always grow my own too and do some of them canning and make my own sauces with them. I add them to my eggs for breakfast and have them on my ham and cheese sandwiches and what ever else I can come up with.
I don't grow as many plants as you do but I have about 35 plants and about 5different varieties.
I'm with ya on the tmatters.

Rollo, Im here to help. Send all your maters to me. The only want to get you over this is cold turkey. Itll be heck for a few days but youll be off the maters at least for awhile. Sounds like I need to learn how to start canning and making salsa. My puny ten plants usually dont last me through the summer.:embarassed: By the way, I love that signature you got there.

Tomatoe sauce for venison flank steaks.

    Ingredients:
4 tablespoons Extra Virgin olive oil
    1 onion, chopped
    3 tomatoes, chopped
2 fresh tomatos- in blender mix to puree
    2 garlic cloves (crushed)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. Black pepper

    Directions:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook onion in olive oil until translucent. Stir in tomatoes; cook until juice begins to thicken. Stir in puree, salt and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes more, until rich and thick.

Cook your venison the way you like it cooked and pour this over the venison and cook about 10-15 minutes.
You can add more spices if you want or if you like a little kick, you can add fresh cut Jalapenos without the seeds.
