    Hey Bubba,
How about that ignition on/off switch install tutorial for those of us with tiller motors that only have a safety lanyard switch? Thanks in advance.

Yep need to know what engine and if you are wanting a push button type of kill switch . You can run both the lanyard or the push button type.

Well, yea I guess a lil info would help. LOL. Mine is a "94" Johnson 40, model #J40TELERE. I was thinkin along the lines of a waterproof toggle switch of the appropriate amperage mounted through the lower cowel near the starter pushbutton/shifter, or a pushbutton kill switch, which ever you think is better or more reliable. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I was mainly concerned with breaking the plastic plunger off of the safety switch by snapping the lanyard off to kill the motor all the time, let alone the momentary memory lapse as I forget to snap the lanyard back on and begin to ponder why my motor suddenly wont start. Thanks guys!
