Just an observation. It seems that Bush does these things when his ratings are down.
Not saying that that is the reason that he is doing this. (It just seems like it)
It is good to see him reach out to people. Especially the ones that have serviced our country.
Sorry DRC, Not trying to rain on anyones parade.
thanks

It was in In April 2004, his ratings were not down then. ;)

Thanks Darryl for a great post.

yep dayton said it
this was an earlier instance when rateing werent an issue .
i focus on the fact that here is a young soldier that has overcame his
injuries and seems to show no sign of contempt or resentment
instead he looks like hes a fighter that has no regrets.
god bless him and those like him.
that was my first observation secondly i will confess that i wondered about a publicity motive but as i said above the important thing was the soldier being able to run after loseing his leg. that alone overshadows
any ulterior motives on the president or anyone elses part.;)

HE is a HERO.

haveing said that i do believe President Bush is more genuine than one may percieve him to be.
now had that been bill clinton running beside this soldier i would have had to agree that it was a ploy.
sorry but thats my take on it.

Wouldn't it be nice to turn on the t.v or open up a newspaper and see stuff like this. Seems like the media thinks the only news is bad news. Maybe the world would be a little better place if they would focus a little more attention on good things that happen instead of all the negitive stories they put most of the focus on. I geuss we will just have to rely on Daryl for the good news. Thanks for sharing. Keep them coming.
