If there were no catfish......?

    Instead of finding Mr. whiskers, what would be your 2nd species of choice?



    Me, I would be a striper bass fanatic! You catch them year round in our local rivers and the New Jersey and Delaware shore.

    Large Mouth, catch em all day between 2-10LBs on live Gills from my favorite dock in Texas :wink:

    I'd more than likely make the transition to Salt water fishing..for Sharks..

    Other than bait,,, I don' have any interest, or fish for anything other than Flats and channels..no blue cats around here..
    Might be interesting and fun to haul in some big Alligator Gar as a diversion..!!

  8. Since I don't really travel and stick mostly to the stretch of river here I grew up with, I would have to go after carp for big fish. Smallmouths would be my second chioce.

    Good thing I would still have trout fishing .
    I guess I would go back to fishing for Large mouth bass , Crappie , and Small mouth bass .

    Although i recently found striped bass fishing was awesome. I'd still have to say Large mouth fishing is my favorite.
