ideal time to hit big blue catfish in the freezing river!

    i haven't been on the site in a while or benn fishin, well real fishing in quite a while and i'm gettin ancy. i like fishin for shovelheads myself. but a big blue will fit me just fine is there anything special i need to do for big blues find deeper channels or wat any help will be really useful!!!!

    Time and time and time on the water my friend...:wink:.....Typically in the winter months we catch most of our blues in the deeper holes, that being said, we have also caught them in less than 20 ft of water. Alot if has to do with river conditions, fast current or slow current, etc...I am still trying to fine tune these beast myself. With the river being the way it is right now, slow and cold, I would target the deeper holes, and drift quite a bit.

    so ig its cold and the river not really runnin go deep hot and fast shallow
