Alright here me out a friend of mine showed me this years ago only tried it a couple of times. What you do is get an ice cube tray a treble hook for each slot thread the liver on to the treble and place in cube tray repeat till full. let freeze. take tray with you fishing in cooler with plenty of ice. have a swivel on line so when changing hooks is quick and easy. Also you can get the liver out much further without it falling right off hope this helps in the hot weather

I thought of tring that but never got around to it. Another idea I had was to blend up some chum(liver, shrimp, shad, perch, etc). Mix it with water and freeze it. Might need to add rocks or somthing to weight it down. Then drop it in your fishing hole for a timed release of chum. It would take awhile for a 6 inch ball of ice to thaw if your water is semi cool. Havnt tested it yet though, so might have to modify things.
