Fellow Boc member HRcats, invited me over to fish one of his big fish hot spots on the HOC, HOC, Hocking river.

Needless to say I drove 119 miles to take a big skunking:big_smile:

this is after he told me the flats were on fire and he could not even keep live bluegills in the water:eek:oooh::eek:oooh:

My first time out in a while, and it did feel good to just set along the river bank and relax.

But I always put him on fish, and did expect at least a dink:big_smile:

I just figured something out...He could not keep his gills in the water, cause they were always hanging in the trees!

YES, he told me that the flatheads were hitting his live gills as soon as he casted them out.

Now that I have had time to think about it, it just might have been crows.:smile2:

Jack when you get down this way again let me know I'll turn you onto a pretty good spot on the hocking river. The channels are always caught in a good mix an a flatty or two are quite possible. Might get skunked tho just never know lol.
