I posted several months ago that I was looking for a boat. I found one and was about to buy it but a wrench got thrown in the mix due to us buying a house and needed the money for down payment. Well since thing have been saving a little at a time. (in the new house by the way right by the lake). I had $500 saved up. This morning before I left for work my wife comes up to me and tells me she got a $1000 bonus at work. She handed me $500 and said Happy Fathers Day  So I called the old boy that had the boat I wanted and he still had it (he told me he would hold it for me. wasnt in a hurry to sell. wasning advertising). So anyways baring any major incidents I am going to pick it up next weekend. The boat is a 16ft aluminum deep V with a 55hp Johnson. It has a steering colum, two seats (one up front one at the colum) two pole holders, fish finder. Has flooring and power trim. Really nice fishing boat. Plain jane, no bells and whistles....but solid boat.

Sounds like a good solid boat. One thing I have never heard of was a catfish complaining about what the guy who caught him, was fishing out of. LOL

Say "Hey! I know a guy and his wife helped him buy a boat! What you think about that? Huh? Huh? Sound good?"

Never know it might work. Didn't for me though. I had to just show up with one and make her go out in it. Now she's worried about that boat more than me. :eek:oooh:

Congratulation on your boat Glen. Do you feel empowered now?

Thanks guys....I definately have a good wife. She is very good to me. I gave up this very boat 4 months ago to buy the house we are in now. So that could have been part of the reason she did what she did.

I will posts pics as soon as I pick it up and can get the pics developed

    God bless

    Glen

Unfortunately not all of us can start at the top with everything just the way we want. I had Three used boats before I finally got the PeQuad. I changed the things I could to suit me and was darn glad to have each one in its own time. I still have 1 of those three original boats. Fix her up to suit yourself and get her wet! Thanks Ma, You can fish with Pa now, right in your own back yard looks like!
