With all that bait and no fish...You sure have the mellon curse!!!
Jack when you go out to catch bait, what size net do you use? What kind of things do I need to look for when throwing the net? I can manage to catch 5-10 that are about 6-8 inches with my 3.5 ft radius net.
Hey Jack, how about running a bucket full of them over here to me...LOL
I'm inflicted with the same curse! I usually catch about 40-50 gills, usually keep about 20-25 and maybe use 4 or 5. Aint even gota run this year. Hope both of us can break this curse soon. Good luck, Chuck.
Good lord man!!! oooh:

I am having a hard time finding bait. Our water temp in atlanta is 76 degrees. What is yours? Did you catch the bait deep or shallow? I sure would appreciate any help you can give me. I have an abundance of threadfin and blueback herring, but I can only seem to catch them in cold weather. Any suggestions?
im going down there this weekend to go striper fishing
Hey Jack, I know how you caught those shad, Mellon didn't lose your cast-net,he just let it soak for a while, like they do those crab pods......hehehe
