If you hated your job that much it is probably for the best in the long run. Good luck on the job search and I hope you find one soon.

Being an electrician, I doubt that you will be hard pressed to find a job. Good luck on your adventure.

Proud of ya! A good many bosses think they own you. it is good to put them in their place now and then. And the main reason that I do not carry much debt, it can literally make you a slave.
My favorite was the boss that fired me for spending to much time at the hospital with my sick daughter... said it was costing the company too much money... Said no more time off or hit the bricks...I said no.. dumped me then he had to hire two people to do what I did! LOL! Hope your Exboss has the same troubles!

Good luck on the search for your better job! I bet you find it!

I have never had an opportunity to quit a job outright seeing as how I have been a Marine since I was 17. It must be a liberating feeling however short-lived it might be:confused2: . Hope that you are able to find a job soon bro. Maybe the Lord has something greater in store for ya!

Best of luck to you Jason. Being an electrician I doubt you will have to search long before finding another job.

One thing some bosses don't seem to understand is that a job is just a job. Happiness and family are much more important. That's exactly what I told my last boss right before I told him to ki#$ my A#$. I've never regretted it.
Like John said, this is America; you won't starve to death. There is work out there for anyone who is willing to work. You have good skills that will always be in demand. Make this work for you and I'm sure you'll find someplace that you're happier and could even make more money. You might even consider working for yourself. That's the best boss!

I started my own business 16 years ago because of reasons similar to this.

    I have never looked back!

Now I depend on myself and no one holds me back.
