i want to mod it but i have no idea what to do.
Welcome to the BOC Mike. Look around the site and you will find lots of mods that have been done to several boats.
if i take out the middle seat will it screw up the boat?
Maybe you should take it out a few times before you get too gung-ho on modding it. While you're out those first few times, really pay attention to where you want your stuff in the boat. This approach usually is faster and cheaper in the long run, because you wont have to redo the boat every time you change your mind about something.
With that said, I would probably start with some lights, and rod holders. The rest will probably be decided by the type of fishing you do.
I would have to think that removing th middle seat would really screw up the strength integrity of the boat. There would be no side support for the whole center section anymore.
As for mods, you will probably be limited due to making the center of gravity too high for a V Hull. There is no way you can get it as stable as a wide flat bottom. My V Hull pretty much got a low floor and an enclosed front battery/starage compartment area. Other than that there wasn't that much I could do without making it too tippy.
Do as you like but at least come up with some sort of plan and maybe fly it by here beore you tear anything apart.
Sorry...it won't let post a link to the site name. Just go to google and search "tinboats". It's the first link that comes up. Lots of good info on there on how to modify aluminum boats.
just leave it and get a outboard with a water jet, i bet u could fish were many others cant because it would be so light and sit high in water, well just a thought!!! :cool2:
i think ill just ad a fish finder, rod holders, lights, troling motor mount for the bow, and some carpet and storage boxes.
That's a start. Then if you need to add to it as needed it can still be done. But if you remove the middle seat I think it will be ruined unless you can weld aluminum.
Once again, removing the middle seat can be done.
But it involves more than just hacking it out. Replacement bracing will need to be installed along the bottom and sides. (Think kinda "U" shape.)
It can be very sweet if done right. Dangerous if jury rigged.

I dont get it. Is there a picture of the replacement bracing?
o.k. i get it now. but what materials would i use?
Check your PMs!
I have a 16 foot v-bottom boat and i put a flat floor in it and made the front a deck on top of the front seat
