Why are some of the gills I am catching still have eggs?

The bluegill here in north central Illinois are still spawning, so they should still have some.

I think that bream spawn about all spring and summer. I've heard that they spawn every month. The first spawn in the spring is the best in my opinion. If you notice later in the summer the males especially get really poor.
