Ok, I have a small problem..well maybe a big one if I go night fishing again before I get it fixed. I have a 98 chevy blazer which comes with a factory harness to hook up a trailer harness, it seems this harness is not good. I only have the left turn signal, and both brake lights, no right turn or running lights and this is in factory harness not the one i put in, any ideas on what could be wrong and where.....

I have found that some times you just to clean the connections. I always check to make sure there getting power. But allot of the time the connections are just dirty. spiders webs or just dust. Sand down you connections and try again. quick fix if it works. Good luck and lets us know what you find out.

I had the same problem on my 03 GMC, until, I found the wiring harness was fused separate from the tail lights on the truck, my fuses were left of the steering wheel on the side of the dash that controlled the trailer harness,,also the is a fuse box under the hood...Hope it helps

Went through this with my Ford Ranger.. I went so far as re-wiring (GAH!) the trailer..

Finally figured out there are separate fuses for Left-Right-Running-and Stop....

Was glad to figure it out, but cussed like a sailor for wasting a day re-wiring...

Finally got it and all is working, there was separate fuses for the trailer just like suspected, now why would they bury that in the owners manual???? I was too on the verge of rewiring the whole thing until I pulled out my test light and found the trailer not to be at fault. Thanks to all who helped me become legal again.
