I am finding out that shinner minnows, are a good bait for catfish.
I'm really happy to hear that someone is catching something on them. I just never did have much luck with them. I'm sure they are a good bait, they just don't like meI guess.
never had any luck on em either but im glad to hear theyre working for ya!
I use them in small creeks and do well but i do not use them in the bigger rivers and lakes anymore never had much luck with them there.
I have had some pretty good sucess on them in the past .
thanks man i will have to try those
Try them, I think u like it.
a friend of my brother's swears by large shiners. got a 40 plus pounder out of the ohio river right under heinz field... go steelers:smile2:
Duh BFD did you find out hooks work???????????????????????????
thanks for your enlightenment dnedster
yeah, I use those once in awhile in the spring under a slip~bobber with some really fine fly fishing type split~shot to keep em down.
Never caught cats on shiners but once I thought my buddy had a nice cat till we pulled the striper out of the water. haha. If you can catch some American Shad those will work better then shiners.
used to catch alot of flats on them in the ohio river
i always have them in the boat if shad are not working i switch to them and usually have some good results
Heh, like many of the other brothers, I've never had any luck with them...Oh well, at least someone is!
