BY THE NECK!:eek:oooh: http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n277/dinkbuster1/snappergrab32.jpg http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n277/dinkbuster1/snappergrab.jpg http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n277/dinkbuster1/snappergrab2.jpg by the way, i do not condone or advise anyone to do this! trust me, i am a professional "turtle wrangler" i couldnt quite get my paw completely around his thick neck, but once i got a good grip for some reason he just turned into a lump of butter in my hands. he knew he was had..

It was a a bad nite for flatties but we were able to complete the G.M.R. super slam.Like Dink said please do not try grabbing a snapper by the neck leave that to the pro's,they are extremely powerful turtles.

Hey Mike, I've done this before myself.I was very
suprised to realize it was possible. I thought the
snapper might be too strong and pull away. And no,
I was'nt drinking when I did it. However, I did this with a snapper that I had for a few day and
as you would know they tend to settle down after
a while in captivity. But it appears to me that the
snapper you're holding is fresh caught due to the
blood in it's mouth. I'm not sure how you were able
to get the drop on him this early. You've inspired
me to try this again .I promise you that I'll be
carefull.I'll post about it if I have the fingers to do so. :)

Would you get bit if we threw you in a pit of snakes? Probably not...lol. And Larry_Beever, Dink's probably held more turtles, than we have, put together. I'd probably listen to him 'til you're a "professional turtle wrangler" yourself. Thanks for the pics, Dink.

Dink where were you when they had the turtle fishing tourney? I know you would have won 1st, 2nd and third place, lol. Do you still have all your fingers:wink:?

Wow. I've handled many snapping turtles in my day, but truthfully I've never grabbed on around the neck with my bare hands !! I'm impressed, and I look forward to your episode special on "The Human Weapon" on cable TV!! Thanks for sharing that thrill.
