    I got lucky again.

50-lbs 13 ounces...The fish hit a small shad head in about 20 feet of water right at dark..

I was using 8/0 gama circle hook, abu 6500 reel, 25-lb big game line, and a 12 foot night stick rod.

I want to thank my fishing partner Roger, for doing a fine job with the net!!

You probably would have caught 6 the other day, but this 50 pounder probably ate one of those 10pounders ! LOL Congrats !

More of the story..I was not even going to fish tonight!

My fishing partner "HRcats" called me and told me he was at one of our spots on the river.

I had the grill in the backyard fired up, turned the grill off and grabed my tackle and out the door I ran..My wife did not even know I was gone:big_smile:

This same exact senario happened last year when I caught my pb of 55-lbs, both times Roger brought his wife along, she needs to be there every trip!

It's Rogers turn now, and I know exactly where he will be fishing:big_smile:

Nice fish! My luck I'd catch something like that and my camera batteries would die just as I went to snap the picture.
