I've been having good luck on the Oclawaha river. Lots of eaters and a few big-uns too. I've just got a 12ft. rowboat so I have someone haul me and the boat to the ramp at the Ocala boat basin and I drift with the current most of the night. I drop the anchor when I find a log jam or a deep hole. When I get to the ramp in Eureaka I call home and my wife or one of the kids come pick me up.

Why shucks, ya need ta drift on down to the rodman pool. LOL
I envy you, I have fished the mossbluff locks a lot however I was rased about 40 mi upstream from there. used to be nice 40some years ago!
watch out for the monkeys near where you put in. years ago there was talk of them havin------- lets just say a disease.
oh if you want some good hunting, just tear a hole in tommy bartlets fence LOL

Glad to hear your catchin em, Glenn.
Haven't had much time with work and all.
Sharon and did have a chance to try Saddle Creek last weekend and she caught a little eater, which aint bad as heavily they fish over there.

Hope I have time to get to the Kississimmee river after Katrina goes through, gates are open now, with the extra water movin the big ones will be in my favorite spot for sure.

Hi flaboy, Rodman lock is right around the corner from the ramp at Eureka. I go through there some times. It seems to upset the lockmaster when I row up there in my little boat and make him pump all that water. I fish during the week when its not so crowded so I'm usualy the only one around to use the lock.
Hey pferox let me know when your goin to the kissimmee river maybe I'll be able to meet ya'll there. Between the two of us we might be able to row in that current down there.

I'll bring my trollin motor and a few batteries, and we still might have to row. current is real bad right now.

Two weeks ago a guy at work went down there with a 15 foot flair and 35 horse and barely made it back. They caught 25 eaters and a couple of 30lb fish he released.

Hey Pferox, Sounds like we better pack some campin supplys and have Sharon pick us up down around Okeechobee so we won't have to row back.

Gald to hear you guy are getting them down stream in the oklawaha .The Big river is sofar out of the banks aroung Orange City you need a chain saw to get to the fish and a winnder weight to keep your worm down [for you young folks a winnder weight is a biggg sinker]

I'm at the headwaters of the Peace River, haven't been able to get to it to fish for quite a while now, and I think those winder weights might do the trick.

I have a couple of em in the garage, if I had a rod heavy enough to cast em, I just might try em.
