Hybrids?

    Caught these last Friday on Herrington Lake here in Kentucky. I'm told they're hybrids and not white bass. Caught them trolling using Northland Rainbow Spinner crawler harness'.

    They look like young Striped Bass to me. Hybrids are deeper bodied and the stripes on the sides are broken.

    Yep, those are stripers. Except maybe the one on the far right of the bottom row, can't quite tell on that one. Congrats though, that's a nice stringer.

    Hopefully, we're going back again tomorrow to try it. They're predicting thunder storms. :embarassed: On Herrington Lake you're allowed a combination of 20 stripers/hybrids/white or yellow bass only 5 of which can be over 15 inches. The largest of this batch was just 15 inches.

    Caught 8 more today trolling with spinner/crawler harness. Seems like the only thing that works. These ran a little bigger than the other day but still no big ones.
