I moved to Hutchinson late last year to take a new job, and I really like
the town. Now since my fishing fever has taken hold I am begining to panic because the only river around here is the Arkansas.
That would normaly be fine but the river does'nt flow much water above
    Wichita.
If there is anyone who knows good fishing spots around Hutch the info would be appreciated.
    Thanks

There are several good spots to fish within 40 miles of Hutch. The South Fork Ninnescah River in Kingman county has numerous holes that contain channels and flat heads. Also, the Kingman State Lake that is west of Kingman has a good supply of channel cats up to 15 lbs. The lake is also the home of northern pike up to 40 inches in length. Good luck.

I use to live in Nickerson just outside hutch.
I always fished the Ar Kansas river lol
I use large bluegill and minnows and did very well.
Try under the 96 hwy bridge in Nickerson and find a hole.

    Good Luck!

I have been told that the river at cheney is excellent after it rains and the river is up. I have never tried it but a guy that I work with says it is the bet fishing he has ever done.
