Huge Susquehanna River Crawdad

    This time it's for real. My fishing buddy found it.

    6 inches not including the remainder of his tail that was folded under. 2-1/4" claws. We were afraid to touch the thing! :smile2:

    I've never seen a crawdad/crayfish this big!

    Thats a big one, bigger than I ever saw. Is this fresh water or what? Thats almost a lobster!

    Yep, freshwater. Biggest one I've ever seen too. We were less than a mile up river from the nuke plant, so who knows! :smile2:

    Boil hell, imagine the smallmouth you could catch on that thing......and imagine the flathead that would eat the smallmouth.

    my thoughts, he grew up around the nuke plant :smile2: but yeah that is a big one for sure

    That is a pretty impressive creature. I don't think I would have got close enough to use the vice grip!

    fishing creek has some that big but i dont think they get much larger around here
