This is pretty interesting...
That was interesting.
The article was written Sep 27 2004, and mentions that this rock orbits the Earth every 4 years in the the fall. I'm not sure where you got July 3rd from.
I guess what we all REALLY want to know is... How will this effect the fishing! LOL
Man could you imagine if that thing hit us, we would all be doomed!
wow thats pertty interesting
The July 3rd was on another site...
ASTEROID FLYBY: During the early morning hours of Monday, July 3rd, asteroid 2004 XP14 will fly past Earth barely farther away than the Moon. XP14 is large enough (600 meters wide) and bright enough (11th magnitude) to see through backyard telescopes as it races across the star-fields of the Milky Way. There's no danger of a collision, just a nice photo-op for amateur astronomers.
Lets hope it affects fishing in the most positive way imaginable. I was a little worried until i read that its four times the distance of the moon away from us. Thankfully with it being so far away it won't spook the fish!
I always thought that "ASTEROID" was a rectal disease. LOL!
Where are Bruce Willis, Steve Buscemi, Liv Tyler, and Ben Affleck when you need them?
here is the original article I looked for earlier...
Big George you ain't right!!! But we already knew that, LOL.
that would be neat to see but i dont really feel like foolin with a telescope so i'll just take everyone's word for it lol
You're a bit off there George. And by the way, Moby Dick was a whale, not a sexually transmitted disease!
Isnt one AU (astronomical Unit) equal in distance from the Earth to the Sun?
Or is it the distance from the earth to the Moon?
I believe it is the former, not the latter. In that case, it wont be close by any measure but that of astronomers themselves.
It could also be the distance voice travels in New York city.... "A-U quit peeyin on my caaaah or Ill bust ya head with a louieville sluggah"
look up skypub.com and spaceweather.com
its amazing what you can see with a good pair of binoculars.
astonomy is a great way to spend time in between bites.
Yea George, and they have a "Telescopic" device for that to! LOL:big_smile:
YEA! Its called my anual colonoscopy! LOL!
Bruce Willi died saving us last time, remember?
Yep he is Prez of the club. LOL. Not to mention he's not a *@#! Yankee..........LMAO
It could hit me in the head the way my luck has been this year. LMAO
