Went today, water temp 43, started out good and then the wind picked up and switched directions. It got crazy and a bit dangerous picking up the jugs. Ended up with 16 keepers. As always fished within sight of the dam, 50ft deep with shad.

    South Grand Laker,

How far up river do you fish in the wintcr time? We catch bait in Big Cabin Creek and then load back up and run to the dam.

I've been bowhunting down there a fair amount but no fishing really. That bowhunting bug takes most of my free time from Oct thru Jan. Deer have been getting bigger and better numbers since they made it bow only three years ago.

Sounds fun. I have not been able to go for a month, been remodeling for Christmas get together.
I work on cars for a living right now and right out of the blue they closed down United Ford without notice and I had to relocate to Bill Knight Ford to keep a job. I am going Bluecat fishing this week end for sure!!!

Went today, water temp 40.5, wind from the south, fishing 45 to 55ft deep down by the dam. The 120 quart ice chest was full before we started cleaning and someone remembered to take a picture.

Water temp 40.5 and very windy even up against the south bluff down by the dam. We managed to fill the ice chest again though. Bite was over by 12:00pm. Catching them 45 to 50ft deep on shad.

We fished along the river channel with cut shad and had the lake all to ourselves. We ended up with 12 fishing from 11:30am and 3:30pm. The biggest went 11lbs. Just a steady bite of good eating sized fish
