How's the fishing

    I've herd there is some really good cats cought in the cape fear just outside of wilmington I was woundering has any one fished there ...had any luck :confused2:

    heard the same. i would like to get in on some of that action myself. where do you go and where do you put in at?

    lock #3 and #2 are good places to start. I haven't fished them as of yet but that is what I keep seeing repeated. Also if your closer to moncure Sanford area the 42 bridge is a good place also all the way up to the dam.

    ive never ad the chance to fish there but ive heard there some HUGE ones in there

    I fish the Cape Fear and NE Cape Fear in that area. There are some really good fish down through there, but the water is pretty deep everywhere, so it can be hard to locate the fish at times. Join in creeks, and sand bars adjacent to deep water, are often good places to start.
