I haven't been catfishing in at least a week and haven't caught one in at lease two. How is the catfishing going? Any luck? I won't go until the water starts rising, otherwise they won't think of touching my bait.

Today I think Im going just to catch some bream for the fun of it... water is still pretty low right now.

Let me know how the fishing is, what baits, where, etc.

    Thanks and tight lines

Low water shoud'nt be an issue, all you have to do is find fallen trees next to a drop of as little as 2 ft. there wont be cats at every one but you should get2-3 in about 10 holes. use wieght on bottom with suspended hooks 2-3

I'm going tomorrow to see what all the flooding has done to the river. I have not been in the last 3 months or so. I just got done with bow season and the freezer in full of deer and hog. Now I can get back to my true love! The river is running 8' high so it should be good fishing. I'll let you know how it works out.

Well it went pretty good brought home 5 cats. The biggest was a 6 lb flathead and all were at least 19" long. Had a few that were to small. The wind was very high and the weather was cool but all in all it was a nice day. If the water level will hold, I'll be fishing the 5 hook throw lines next weekend with live bait. This time of year always brings some good flatheads.
