matt you can use loopers rigs or any of the dip worms, Ive used both and loops work better (hold it on there longer), probably only going to catch eater chanels with it at least thats all Ive caught with it

Edited to add the easist way I saw to use it was how Teasvallyguy showed me was to put your looper or worm in the jar and stir it around with a stick to get a bunch of stuff on there.

You use it on stink bait tubes, the hooks with springs, or looper rigs. You just push whatever stink bait holder you choose deep into the stink bait and thenpull it out slowly. When the stink bait holder is pulled out there should be a generous helping on the hook. At that point cast it pout just like you would liver or shad or any other cut bait.

Personally while no the best Ihave tried I pretty much always carry a jar of hog wild somewhere in my pack. I have caught several fish on it over the last summer, the biggest being about a 5 lb channel.

It is also important that you use a dry dip worm. Instead of switching the worms every cast, You can swing your rod around in the air, and the centrifugal force will dry the worm. People will stare at you, but it works.

That is a very good point, even Sonny's wont stick well on a wet tube.

I use sponge or loofa if I don't have Looper rigs. I fish a river and have had the bait stay on the hook for an hour or more with Looper rigs and nearly as long with a sponge or loofa. Jtrew once suggested loofa on the board. That's where I heard of this. He has a great pic and explanation of what it is.

Yes, i have used Hog Wild. It is a good bait to keep around in your takle box. I wouldn't above other baits, such as Sonny's or Rusty's. But a little hog wild is always good to keep around.

Yes I have used two different types of Majic Bait bait holders the one you refer to later in this post with the net and sponge and the one with the tube and sponge. Personally I prefer the tube and sponge, though I have caught fish on both. They are used the same way use a stick or screw driver to press the bait holder down inside the jar opf hog wild or whatever dipbait oyu are using. Swirl it around in there so that the bait can take a hold and form a glob over the entire bait holder then slowly pull it out of the jar and cast it out.
