im new to tent camping how do you guys and gals stay cool in the heat of summer
One way is to eat fruit , especially melons ,honey dew , and cantaloupe . I forget the scientific reasons off hand but maybe a Google would help.
When it got hot enough working in Fla, the white shirt got put back on and watered down... hat also. Try to place the tent where it can get a breeze.
Not much to do in a tent, a air mattress usually is cooler. Maybe a shower if your dirty from the day will get the film off ya to breath better.
thks i like mellons them new colored water mellons are great
And drink lots of water. Don't drink more cokes and/or gatorades than you do water.
If your camping in a campground with electricity carry a good fan with you to sleep under.
Believe it or not.. they have started making a camping air conditioner that you set in the floor in your tent to help keep cool. Don't know how much they run but in the middle of the summer bet they are worth every cent.
